STRAIGHT TO PRINT

T Shirt: American Apparel, Pants: American Apparel (Sold Out), Choker: Top Shop

I love these high-waisted multi-colored print pants that I got from American Apparel a while back. They are very versatile and I can pair them with a lot of different pieces. With this look, I decided to keep it simple with a classic white t-shirt, which every woman (and man) should have in their wardrobe. It is the perfect casual blank canvas for any outfit. As far as accessories, I decided to try something new and wore a statement choker with layered necklaces.

SNEAK PEEK

Gingham Skirt and Top set: American Apparel, Sneakers: Air Max Thea

I love a good high heel shoe, but lately I have been collecting more flats. Every woman should have a good pair of sneakers in her closet. I recently bought a pair of all white Nike Air Maxes, which I've been doing my best to keep clean. I'm loving that sneakers are becoming more of a fashion statement. They are a great alternative to dress down any outfit and they add a cool edge, and not to mention the fact that they are extremely comfortable! I paired my Nikes with a girly outfit to give it a sportier statement. Then, I threw on my favorite long blazer to add some color.

Purple Reign

Halter and skirt set: Phlo by Mariah

By now its pretty obvious that I like a good monochromatic set and that I am also a sucker for pastels these days. I have yet to have a purple moment, so I asked local designer Mariah Howell (designer of Phlo by Mariah) to make me a custom purple halter and split skirt from her Spring/Summer collection. I paired this lavender look with additional lightly hued accessories. I loved this colorful wall from the Tea Pop restaurant in North Hollywood that I happened to coincidentally coordinate with.

Denim Duds

Jumpsuit: Urban Outfitters (this one is sold out; get a similar style here)

Denim jumpsuits are a popular trend for this season. I was drawn to this particular one from Urban Outfitters because it was a different take on the style. The baggier, drop crotch silhouette is a departure from what I usually wear. It was a tad difficult to shoot this jumpsuit without it becoming unflattering around the crotch area. However, I love the comfort of this shape.  These days I like the easiness of one pieces and being able to throw it on and go without thinking about different components for a look. I paired this jumpsuit with a pair of my favorite Jeffrey Campbell heels.
